My name is Joseph Daka, and I am a 31-year-old Zambian teacher, youth sports leader, and entrepreneur based in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.
I work with young people through sports development and currently serve as a Kids’ Athletics Lead for Zambia under World Athletics. For more than 13 years, I have coached children in athletics and have also been involved in Street Handball activities for the past 3 years.
Although I am not currently connected to a traditional handball club, I strongly believe that Street Handball is a great tool for engaging children and young people in physical activity. The simplicity of the game and its fair play rules make it easy to introduce in schools and local communities.
Through my organization, I aim to promote Street Handball across Zambia by introducing the sport in schools, community programs, and youth development projects. I see great potential for creating a sustainable model that fits the local Zambian context.
I have access to several community schools, public schools, and private schools that could benefit from Street Handball activities. My goal is to organize training sessions and events in Lusaka, Chipata, and, if possible, Livingstone.
I am committed to supporting the values of Street Handball International and am ready to volunteer my time to help grow the sport. I fully support the Street Handball Fair Play Rules and especially appreciate how they make everyone feel included and part of the game.
Together with Street Handball International, I look forward to creating new opportunities for children and young people in Zambia to experience the joy of Street Handball.

My name is Mwitwa Nathan Shiluwe, and I am a 32-year-old handball coach and sports development enthusiast based in Lusaka, Zambia.
I am actively involved in handball development, working with children and young people through training sessions, sports programs, and community activities. My passion is to create opportunities for young people to participate in sports and develop valuable life skills through teamwork and physical activity.
I have studied Sports Management and continue to expand my knowledge through coaching education and youth development programs. I am connected to Blue Wood Handball Club and have several years of experience as a handball player, representing clubs such as Lusaka Tigers and Green Eagles at both local and competitive levels.
As a coach, I have worked with children and youth players in Lusaka for more than eight years and currently support the development of over 40 young athletes on a regular basis. Through this experience, I have seen how sport can positively impact young people’s lives and strengthen communities.
I am committed to helping Street Handball International grow the sport in Zambia by organizing regular training sessions, introducing Street Handball in schools, and engaging children and youth through community outreach programs. I am ready to lead monthly Street Handball training sessions and have access to local schools where students can learn and enjoy the game.
My first Street Handball activities will be organized in Lusaka at local schools and community grounds, creating opportunities for more children and young people to experience the sport.
I fully support the Street Handball Fair Play Rules and believe they are one of the greatest strengths of the game. Street Handball promotes fairness, safety, teamwork, respect, and inclusion. The rules ensure that all participants have an equal opportunity to contribute and enjoy the game, regardless of their experience or physical abilities.
I am passionate about developing handball in Zambia, especially among children and youth. I believe Street Handball offers an excellent opportunity to grow the sport, build stronger communities, and inspire the next generation through positive sporting experiences.
Together with Street Handball International, I look forward to helping make Street Handball accessible to even more children and young people across Zambia.
