Street Handball USA

Street Handball International is pleased to announce that we have made a cooperation agreement

with Street Handball USA who do a lot for increasing handball in USA.

We wish them the best of luck to implement Street Handball in USA.

Street Handball USA

-I am 24 years old, and am from Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA. I am currently a law student at the University of Detroit-Mercy.

Why you chose to be part of SHI?
-I love handball, and want to see it become more popular in the USA. I was first introduced to Street Handball through learning about the Generation Handball tournament in Denmark, and fell in love with the idea. Two big problems in that hold the sport back in the USA are a lack of proper handball facilities and a lack of visibility. Street Handball solves both of these problems.

What is the best with Street Handball fair play rules?
-No physical contact, because it keeps the game safe and creates a more welcoming environment for newcomers to the game. Also, that rule is more conducive to making the game more compliant with Covid-19 regulations.

How can volunteering with street handball change your area?
-Handball needs more volunteers in order to grow, so I’m just trying to do my part!

And maybe tell about one of your hosted street handball events/training? or your next SH event/training?
-We hosted a 3v3 street handball league earlier this year, which was a big success and helped get more people introduced to the wonderful world of handball.
