Dear Friends of Street Handball International,

As we reflect on 2025, we are proud to look back on a year filled with growth, movement, and meaningful connections across continents. From local schoolyards in Denmark to vibrant community events in Africa and Asia, Street Handball once again proved that sport can unite, empower, and inspire.

🌐 Here is a short summary from Denmark to Africa and Asia – Where Street Handball Meets Community

🇩🇰 Denmark – School Workshops, Festival.

Throughout 2025, Street Handball Denmark delivered numerous school workshops and a festival. Hundreds of children participated in inclusive sessions built on fun, fair play, and physical activity. Highlights included school workshops in Bramming and Esbjerg, the Street Handball Festival in Bramming with active participation during local cultural event, where families and children played together and celebrated sport in an open and joyful atmosphere.

🌍 Growing Impact in Africa

In 2025, Street Handball continued to strengthen its presence across Africa through close collaboration with local partners and community leaders.

🇿🇲 Zambia
Since the founder’s visit in October 2024, local partners have delivered 17 events and workshops and an awesome Street Handball Festival at Kibbutz Academy, including school sessions, teacher trainings, and community activities. These initiatives focused on teamwork, confidence, and child participation, thanks to Joseph and Nathan.

🇬🇲 The Gambia
Street Handball Gambia hosted three community events, including the establishment of the Jarama Handball Club. The program also reached 🇸🇳 Senegal, where a cross-border Street Handball event brought children and youth together, strengthening regional cooperation and interest in the sport.

🇲🇼 Malawi
Workshops engaged children and youth in fun, inclusive training sessions supported by local trainers and Zikomo Projects. These activities emphasized movement, leadership, and personal development, helping embed Street Handball as a positive and sustainable community tool.

🌏 Expanding Across Asia

🇧🇩 Bangladesh
School-based tournaments and community events promoted inclusion, joy, and togetherness.

🇮🇳 India
Multiple workshops reached both schools and districts, engaging large groups of children in fair-play-focused activities.

🇳🇵 Nepal
School workshops brought boys and girls together for energetic and inclusive sessions.

🇵🇰 Pakistan
Friendly matches and club-based events showcased strong teamwork and sportsmanship.

🇮🇷 Iran
The country hosted Street Handball festival for girls, marking an important milestone for inclusion and visibility.

🇯🇵 Japan
The All Japan Street Handball Festival gathered teams from across the country, celebrating participation, fun, and the unique spirit of Street Handball. We are looking forward for the Street Handball Festival in Yokohama City, September 2026.
